- Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively
- Manage the airway, including basic or advanced techniques appropriate to your role

- Follow current Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) algorithms and guidance
Higher-level courses also cover rhythm recognition, emergency drug administration and leadership during resuscitation, preparing clinicians to lead or coordinate emergency responses.

Frequently Asked Questions About CPR Training
Our CPR courses are suitable for a wide range of people, including healthcare professionals, dental teams, care workers, first responders, workplace staff and members of the public who want to be prepared for medical emergencies. If you might ever need to respond to a cardiac arrest or collapse, CPR training is strongly recommended.
Not at all. We offer Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR courses designed for people with no prior medical training, as well as Intermediate and Advanced options for healthcare professionals. We’ll help you choose the level that best matches your role and experience.
Depending on the course level, you will learn how to recognise cardiac arrest, perform high-quality CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), manage choking and assess emergencies safely. Many courses also cover responding to cardiac or respiratory arrest across different age groups, and working as part of a resuscitation team.
Yes. All life support and CPR courses follow current Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) guidelines, and where applicable are RCUK-approved. Training also supports compliance with CQC, HSE and GDC requirements for clinical governance and workplace safety.
Yes. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate confirming the level and type of CPR training completed. This is recognised across healthcare, education and workplace settings and can be used as evidence for employment, revalidation and regulatory inspections. Certificate validity will depend on the specific course and professional requirements.
If you’re unsure which level to take, our team is happy to advise based on your profession, compliance needs and personal goals. As a general guide, Basic CPR/BLS courses suit non-clinical staff and general workplaces, while Intermediate and Advanced courses are aimed at clinicians who assess, treat or lead in emergencies.
CPR training is delivered through a mix of short presentations, demonstrations and plenty of hands-on practice with manikins and training AEDs. Assessment is usually based on your practical performance and participation during the course, rather than formal written exams, so you receive ongoing coaching and feedback as you learn.
